About Apexlink

Apexlink is an independent financial media company covering insurance, banking, personal finance, investing, homeownership and small business finance. Our mission is to help households and small business owners make objectively better money decisions.

Our story

Apexlink was founded in 2019 by a group of financial journalists frustrated with the trade-off consumers were forced to make between free content that was aggressively monetized and paid content locked behind paywalls. We built Apexlink as a third option — reader-supported, ad-light, and radically transparent about how we make money.

Our audience

Apexlink now serves 3.4 million unique readers per year — a mix of first-time homeowners, small business owners, and pre-retirees looking to make higher-stakes financial decisions with real research behind them.

What sets us apart

  • Named authors. Every article has a real byline and a public bio.
  • Independent review. Every piece is reviewed by an editor with subject-matter expertise.
  • Primary sources. We cite NAIC, SEC EDGAR, FRED, HUD and state regulators — not other blogs.
  • Full disclosure. Every commercial relationship is disclosed on every page.
  • No dark patterns. No "quote flow" that harvests your data.
